Here's a shot of Short Wheelbase #006 at Bandimere Speedway last weekend. I had duties with Team Shelby, but my nephew ran the Lincoln. I brought up my Hertz Shelby, the SWB001 T-Bird, and SWB006 Mark VIII. I received the top trophy in the show for the Lincoln class with the Mark. Had a pretty great day. The car ran a 16.50 @ 89 mph. Remember that this is at over 6,500 ft in elevation, so a regualr 15.00 second car at sea level would be runing around a 16.50 at this elevation. So I was happy with that. There were two other Marks there that were running mid 17's.

I wish i didnt work so much. I miss going to bandimere.

Ah come on, Bandimere's only 5800ft ASL. :p I'm sure the density altitude was up there though, being that it's summer.

Correct, I just figured that's a bit hard to explain. The corrected altitude is very rarely down around the actual 5,800. This is one of the lower numbers that I've seen for late June. Normally the corrected altitude is pushing 9,000+ this time of year depending on the weather patterns and temp. The only thing I hate about drag racing here. Most people just don't understand the HP they lose at this altitude. I always love listening to people from out of state trying to understand why their car is so slow here. At least everybody is in the same boat!! Why forced induction is the system of choice up here and does so well! No oxygen!!

With a DA of 9181 (mid-day June 25th) your 16.5 @ 89 corrects to 14.58 @ 100.

Tell me about it, haha. It's nice and cool at 1 am right now and the current DA here is 7800ft.
