I had a deer run into my right front fender. The suspension is now stuck in full high mode. I did have the fender pulled out and am going to replace the fender. Is there something that the crushed in fender may have caused, because the suspension pump is right behind this fender..Maybe it is a coincidence, maybe not. I have the switch in the trunk turned off. It use to vent when I opened the passenger door and closed it with the motor off. Now it doesn't. Is there a fuse check first? If not what else can I do to release the pressure without having to take the car half apart?

mine didnt vent off in a trip i took
it was related to door open switch though
once i fixed the door open switch
air ride functioned normally

dont know for sure
just hoped it might help

Spray the heck out of it with WD-40 and open and close it.

I had mine stick in the full up position. I removed the sensor's from the lower ball mount and compressed them 1/2way. I used a clamp to hold them in that position.

I then turned the key on and they vented and lowered the car.

It took me a little while to come up with this, but it worked very well.

It's like the sensors get over extended and out of the adjustment range.

If you are not experiencing a door ajar message on the message center, this is probably not your issue. Check the height sensor, beyond that, it could be the bag solenoid causing the issue. How long did the car sit after you wrecked it?????

check fuse as well.

I checked the two listed in the owners manual under the hood and they were not blown. I think maybe it is venting again, but it still leaves about 3 to 4 inches up over the front tire. If a height adjustment had come off wouldn't it the cars height be lopsided?

It's still not venting off. I think the comp. pump is maybe 6 months old. I just don't know what else to check.

Do you hear the solenoids click like it's trying to vent?

If so. you might have a stuck vent valve.

If the solenoids click, you can get it to vent by removing one airline from the dryer with the switch in the trunk turned off. After the line is removed, turn the key on, close the doors, and turn the switch in the trunk back on. When it vents, turn the switch back off and replace the airline.

That's not how to repair it, but that will bring it back to a normal height if you've got a stuck vent valve and the rest of the system is OK.
