Search a little, it's happened to pretty much every gen II LS.
It's not a clamp. The Velcro has come unglued. Various solutions are discussed in the forum. I just glue it back every so often.

I glued in some industrial strength Velcro with Gorilla glue a few years ago. It is still holding.

I went gangsta on that and piled a big glob of epoxy adhesive In there and held it in place for a minute. Hasn't came loose yet LOL

you would think the glue you can buy to rehang the rearview mirror would work?

Never say never, but that's for gluing metal to glass. There's no glass involved here (although I can see how you might think that it does from the picture). The problem here is to glue the headliner to the metal bracket under the third brake light. Then it comes close to the glass, but doesn't touch it.

@Joe Thanks, and I've given up on search. Every time I search I never find what I'm looking for.
Thanks but just like this dude I'm done with search. My I ask is there a limit of new post or something that we my reach because of to many of the same post Not mint to be a jack ass comment just would like to no the harm it cause

Even if you didn't search, inspecting the headliner it's pretty obvious that it just needed to be reapplied with adhesive.

FYI many members find using a google search specific to this domain better then built in search functionality. Food for thought.

not to be rude, maybe because you're not using your spell checker.

The harm, is that when someone actually does search, they find a lot of threads like this before they get to the original ones with the solutions.

The thing is, I had to spend some of my time to search to give you the links to show the solutions. I don't mind doing some of that, but sometimes I don't have time. However, if I post that the solution is on this forum, just search for it, I am called a jerk for not just giving the answer. If the answer was just five words and I knew it, then I would have posted it.

Here's the link for Google search of this site.
https://www.google.ca/search?as_q=L...=any&safe=images&tbs=&as_filetype=&as_rights=

Just add your search terms after the "LS." Put quotes around them if you want to find only the exact phrase. Unlike this site's search, it will substitute common words and will only return results that hit all of your terms.

It doesn't seem like too much to ask that if you want help, you do a little work yourself and search. And also try to communicate a little better. Now flame on...

Ok cool and thanks for the info your not a jerk you have help me and a lot of plp hear. Just some plp like to make smart comment without any meaning or solution to the problem (jerks) Now I have a reason and a solution I'm an army veteran doesn't take anything more than that to get me shooting in the right direction if I have any problems in the future when trying this I will be sure to get some advice
In my opinion with the LS at 8yrs after production not sure if is to many more 100% new treads to start
