suicide doors

it sounds like this is going to be too expensive to get. Maybe I should jsut do the lambo doors
 
i have had mine for a little over a year now, hinges will run about 1200 then the rest is custom fab and paint. and you will need new locks the lincoln locks to not fit right, i used honda locks.

now thats how you bring back a old thread. its funny the whole time i was reading it I was thinking about your car Broke. I think it looks really good how do they hold up no sagging or anything? and do you have any pics of the hinges?
 
Lambo doors make the LS look cheesy but I think the suicides are sick especially after seeing one of my buddies' all-original 1964 Lincoln Continental with them.

suicide doors would be nice, but useless, espcially you'll have do repaint and move the door handle then repaint the door. a lot of work for only a cosmetic look

hey broke, you might want to give lincoln jealous some tips on 2 toning....seeing that urz is done tastefully right...
 
I've been sitting on a sui kit for about 5 years now. I got it from Autoloc for around $1500, complete set with upgraded hinges and the electronic dead bolt for inside so the kids doint pop it open by accident.
I bought it for my wifes HHR but after talking with Darkside Motoring who did this on an HHR I decided to wait for a different vehicle to use it on. I wouild have had to cut and re shape my rear side door do to the bubbly fenders.

I have though of using it on my 65 LLac or my Mark VIII but dont have the cash anymore to make it happen.
I do like the look though!!!
 
I have done a lot of research on the suicide doors mod. You can shave or relocate the door handles. If you relocate the handles, you will have to switch sides. Driverside to the passenger side and passengerside to driverside. If you shave them, you will need door poppers.

http://www.streetdreamsbyross.com/hinges_suicide.php are the best hinges to use. They are designed for heavy doors. They are single piece hinges. They open to a 90* angle. So getting in and out will be easy. Your looking around $900 for a pair.

Install will have to be done by someone that knows what they are doing. Its labor intensive. Most of the cash will go to labor. If things go right, I will have my doors suicide and the LS custom painted next winter. The whole job will cost me $3000. Plus $900 for the hinges. Not bad for $3900.
 
According to CarDomain, Broke LS suicided LS is for sale.
 
yea I think he has tried to sell on here like 30 times, if you look at his message history.

I think the doors would look sweet, old school luxury at its finest.

I am leaning towards turbo/sc first since price is so similar
