For the people that have them.....could we get some dimensions....I am wanting to have a set made. I will use the search feature for the pics of attachment points and such, but would like some dimensions. Size of tubing and such would be helpful also.

I had mine made from 1-1/2" chrome moly tubing. You need about 4 feet for each one.

The pics should give you a reference to go on and measure on your car to see how long the tubing needs to be. Mine were fabricated in the fly at the same place that did my exhaust. He had tubing and plate on hand since he also builds roll bars and cages.

i was thinking about the rear subrame. you could increase the rigidity of the whole unit along with the subframe connectors if you made some aluminum bushings to replace the rubber units. it shouldnt affect ride quality, and would improve handling by removing the rear subframe movement under heavy loading,i.e. hard acceleration and hard cornering. watcha think?

The subframe can be improved upon, mostly by welding what's barely welded and added support in critical areas, such as when you add a pinion brace and rear torsion brace. The rubber mounting bushings do not necessarily flex but they are more for NVH isolation. Afterall, there are mini-subframe connectors on the front of the subframe mounts to the body.

One of the biggest improvements to the rear IRS that can be made is the inner/outer control arm bushings and knuckle bushings. Search for these on Cobra sites, there are a couple different vendors, but they are pricey and most likely not necessary for a daily driver. Adding some poly or solid bushings to the differential housing will help as well.
