Stupid noob question about V8 badge.

Didn't all LS V8 cars have the V8 badge? My 2000 just says LS and its centered so no way one was there before. Just curious.

Also are 2006 cars all pretty much LSE versions?



Oh yeah, anyone seeing any real gains with tune/intake/exhaust parts? I like the car enough that I am thinking of buying a last year version with the THX and NAV. I like the styling in and out better plus having an extra 28 HP with some variable valve timing is nice. Plus the hydraulic cooling fan was designed by the devil. I also really want cooled seats.

All 2006s are V8 sport or premium sport.
All 2006s have part of the LSE appearance package.
No 2006s are actually LSEs.

I am fairly sure the v8/v6 badge's were added on the 01-06 models. I know 00's did not have them. Mine doesn't either. Not sure if all the years from 01 have them. I just know they added them in 01

The 06s didn't have the spoiler and had different wheels. The cooled seats are awesome.

our '00 V8 does not have a V8 badge. and i have thought about buying a newer tail light to fix that.
