What kind of struts are all you guys using, time for new ones and was just wondering what you guys recommend? thanks

OEM sport is what I've been more than pleased with. Excellent tradeoff handling/comfort, perfect fitment, and long lasting

Funny you say that. My '05 LS Sport has just over 28K on it now and I can feel the struts going away, especially the rear, it's getting floatly. In the past I loved how it was nice and taught to the road.

Looking to buy some myself.

I have the wheel bearing hubs, Eibach springs, and ball joints to rebuild some of the front end here soon. It'd be nutty not to replace them as well.

I found oem struts for $77 does that sound about right or does anyone know were i can get them cheaper?

J have OEM Sports with Eibachs and enjoy the ride. sancho20 $77 each sounds about right.

Yea i have eibachs also that have been sitting in my garage for over a year ,scared im gonna rub when i put them on.They have 3 different oem struts right,Im guessing the sport is in the middle.

Nomenclature

Actually, although they're odd looking because of the way the springs mount, they're not struts. We have double wishbones. Struts carry the spindles.

What we have are really just somewhat complicated shock absorbers. More accurately 'dampers'.

Hi Sancho---

I live in Livonia, close by Five Mile and Levan. We should probably plan to have a SE Michigan get together sometime soon!

Hey anyone know wherethe best place to get to shocks at?

Also let me know if u guys do set up something for s.e. Mi. I would be up for it!

Not anymore. Theu use to have non-sport, sport, and euro shocks. Euro shocks are no longer made so you can only get non-sport and sport now.

I got mine from max. Great price.

Did you contact them to see if they had the european shocks in stock? Just because they are listed doesn't really mean they are still available. I would contact them first. That is a good price on those shocks. I might have to jump on the sports model myself.
