i didnt have a cross over pipe or x pipe or any other gay tommy pipe for that matter on my 98 lol, i had a exhaust bent up at a muffler shop for mine, 2.5 i.d pipe all the way from the front cats back with no 3rd cat, and bullets on it with opened up stock tips.
smooth, isaak hayes was smooth, exhaust isnt supposed to be smooth. and tommy, we dont have hay haulers in florida, i'm not in texas, in texas they have hay haulers. they also have blow up dolls shaped like sheep.
this was hay hauler tommy, this was after putting flow masters on my 98 first, needless to say after this video was taken i cut them back off, this is your hay hauler tractor pullin sound you like. YouTube - flowmasters on a 98 mark VIII
The flowmasters sound pretty mean! I'd probably get tired of it though. I think my car sounds perfect with the 2.5 dual exhaust, magnaflow 3rd cat and no mufflers. Not unbearably loud and yet it still sounds mean.
i was thinking of doing an exhaust.....replacing my third cat with an X then 2.5 duals back to mufflers.....will that sound good?? What mufflers should I use?? dyno max bullets? I like the way magnaflow magnapacks sound...will this sound good??
this was my blue 93 that i made duals myself, i took 2 stock base model mid pipes and welded them side by side with factory flanges on them still, i cut the 3rd car out, and resonator, and welded in a magnaflow X pipe, then put in my two pipes i made, then made my own dual tail pipes and welded on two bullets and changed my back bumper to a 96. i spent all of about $80 bucks on this project and although it wasnt a pro mandrel bent job, it looked good and sounded good and took me one day to do it.
no where near as loud or raspy as my 98 was!
