That's spooky man! I recorded one on video coming back from a car meet last year. As we got closer to it on the way home, it really started looking scary. I was ready to see a funnel drop at any time.

Yeah man. It looks like your picture is the same type of a cloud as seen in my video from a closer point of view. As we started getting closer to it, it was looking like your picture. Thankfully, it was alongside of us and we didn't have to drive through it. Otherwise, I would have waited for it to pass. Sometimes getting in one of those cells can be dangerous. I'm just always afraid there is a funnel lurking in there somewhere. On the contrary, I have always been fascinated by tornados but just would rather not get up close and personal with one. LOL

Damn thats a hell of a front. Love watching systems like that move in. Almost became a meteorologist lol. Then I realized there is WAY more money in computers

Those things are pretty scary. We had one rip through Central FL a few years ago and did millions of dollars of damage. The weird thing is we are so used to hurricanes we have no clue about tornadoes. Thankfully it "skipped" around and didnt cause many fatalities.

meteorologist...the only job you can be wrong everyday and still get paid on friday

I'm in Valley Center, just north of Wichita.
Just moments after the shot the nastiest rain and wind I have seen in awhile came blowing through! Fortunately there was just pea sized hail. The wind was so strong that it blew my back garage entry door open and it took me and my brother to shut the door and slide an AOD tranny up against it to keep it shut LoL! Rained all night.
