I am thinking too much of buying a Stop-Tech Big Brake Kit but wanted to know more info from the pros on here and obviously if my rims wil clear the calipers...

Post Them Pics up!

Ken - LSKoncepts - had a set on his LS. The stock 17" rims will not clear the calipers.

A stock LS stop from 60-0 in 127ft, with the Stop Tech (and a set of porterfield pads) the Ls was able to stop 60-0 in 109ft - which is M3, corvette, ...etc country. That said, with porterfield pad on stock calipers - 60-0 119ft.

so - it's $5200 for an extra 10ft of stopping short.

Damn! $5,200 for what? I have their 13 inch 4-piston front kit with slotted two-piece rotors on my '04 Mustang Cobra that I use for open track. The front kit cost about $2,000. I think the StopTech brakes are "overkill" for an LS unless you do a lot of open track. The main reason to buy the kit is not really stopping distance (although that is good), it's consistent, nonfade stopping power.

What?? $5,200 for the front kit?? but Ken @ LSKONCEPTS has it at $2,695 I think...

other than what I posted above - I have no direct experience.

The Porterfield pads were the biggest bang for the buck - in the Stop Tech testing - no fade at 850 degress.... and that is what I've been running for years now.

Hey Fonsito, Are you using yellow bulbs or tinted lenses for the fog lights?
