Stock cam specs

I don't know the specs off hand but I do know they are the exact same specs as 03/04 DOHC motors... Mach 1, Cobra, Maruader, Aviator in 03/04 are running Mark VIII cams!

not at all

the mach one has a diffrent intake cam, its exhaust cam is from a 5.4 truck, the cobra is diffrent, they are built arround low end torque, and the aviator is also diffrent.

camshaft lift is .393/.393-inch.... according to Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords. unless the info they printed is wrong. it seems like it may be, cause I don't understand why the Mark VIII would have slightly more lift than the 96-98 cobra engine. they say the 96-98 cobra engine has .390/.390 lift. so evillally is probably right. my info came from a MM&FF article on 4.6 DOHC's March 2003 issue. it included all years from 93-03.

auto vs manual would be my guess, if there is a diffrence between the early cobra cams and the mark.

03-04 OEM heads use the intake cams from a 4v Navi (99.5-2003) and the exhaust cam is from a 96-01 Cobra (.394" lift for both int/exh, 184 deg intake @ .050, 194 deg exhaust @ .050). The 03-04 intake cam is entirely different than a Mark VIII intake cam. Exhaust is close, if not the same. But all 03-04 4.6 4v cams are in fact the same.
