So my LS has a power steering leak on the drivers side of the rack out of the boot.

Does anyone have any experience with replacing the seals? I see O'Reilly's sells a seal kit and I would much rather do that then replace the whole rack...

jumping in to see if this works out for you. A reman rack isn't that much after core is it?

I've never done them but I like the idea of replacing it with a reman.

RockAuto has remans from $200-300 with a $100-125 core charge. If and when mine ever needs replacement that's the route I'm going.

yup I got mine at pep-boys, wouldn't have been such a huge job if I didn't mistake the hydro fan pump for the power steering pump, gave it back as core and all lol

That'll learn ya. Reminds me when I went to change oil for the first time in my life. Almost took the plug out of the trans pan in my dad's truck lol. :slam

I'd stick with a motorcraft reman.... I installed an autozone reman rack in my t-bird and it died inside of a month. Not fun if your doing it yourself.

at the dealer we just replaced any leaking rack, the risk of messing it up worse by resealing it is too great

Super....Don't really feel like throwing that kind of money at it....
