will that shifter from ebay work why are they so much cheaper on ebay are they missing parts or what plz help would like to do this the cheapest way possible

sh!t is always cheaper on ebay, usually because its used or missing parts, and buying new from the dealer is usually the most expensive place to get them from

I got one from ebay about 8 years ago. Has worked perfectly (well, I got a dirty contact a few years back; cleaned it and it's been fine since) from the minute I installed it. Nothing missing nor broken.
