Hey guys,
I recently noticed a loud squeaking sound coming from the rear drivers side. After a little testing it's only noticeable at low speeds and when going over uneven ground (mostly when the car goes up and down). Also, if I stand on the door sill (with my arms on the roof) and hop up and down, that movement makes the squeak really noticeable and seems to be coming from the driver's side wheel area. Could this be anything other than a shock (or are they called struts?). I am not sure what the previous owner replaced but I recently turned 100,000 miles. I know the suspension of these cars is a bit more complex than others. The car seems fine over bumps (other than the noise) and doesn't sit lower in the back so the issue isn't obvious. I'd like to get some opinions before I start throwing money at it. Also, if I do replaced the rear shocks, what other suspension parts should I look at replacing since they're probably worn out after 100,000. Oh, I have an 03 v8. As always, thanks in advance!
