Sprint Springs Finally Installed!!!!! PICS INSIDE

well, finally installed the sprint springs today, took a couple extra hours then expected but its done now, so far i'm loving it, no scraping or rubbing so far here are some pics from my phone, i'll wash it the next chance i get and take better pics but for now these will do

these first 2 pics are after we did the front and then the rest are of the whole car being done

Very nice! I wish they came like that stock.
 
Looks perfect now! Will prob sag a little more as time goes on too.

Car is lookin real slick man. Now watch out for bumps/humps/dips/parking stops/and speed bumps
 
BEAUTIFUL!!! You may not scrap now, but you will!!! Just take it slow and easy over speed bumps (go over it slowly front and rear) and sharp driveways. You may also want to take driveways; like at the supermarket and such; at an angle.

Looks great and you will like the flat cornering! What shocks are you running?
 
careful when parking towards those concrete parking space curbs and take it REAL easy on speed bumps. Approaching isnt that bad, its when your front wheels come down over the speed bump that gets you
 
Avoid speed-bumps altogether, I have been afraid to even get stuck on some before... sometimes they are so high it is retarded, even cars not lowered bottom out. And I can picture myself high-centering on a massive speed-bump... How embarrassing that would be.

Also when you are approaching a turn-in area where there is a hump and you need to approach @ and angle/slowly. Be careful of people behind you - alot of times people are not expecting you to turn so slowly and whatnot and they maintain too high of a speed. I usually do my best to leave a large gap behind me so I can take my time finessing the turn.

Yep what he said ;) I haven't even braved a speed bump yet, and my driveway is murderous at anything over a crawl with an Angled approach. Thats with Eibachs, so have fun with the even lower sprints. Looks fantastic.
 
My driveway is so tough, I have my passengers wait @ the bottom while I back out, before they get in. I snail pace to avoid scraping with just me in the car.

monroe shock

i was out driving around tonight and everyone kept watching me drive past them lol, but it's definately lowered more after driving it but i still love it, looks and handling wise, there is a a lot of construction around here so i'm definately watching for bumps but i honestly couldn't even tell you the last time i went over a speed bump, in fact i couldn't even tell you where a speed bump is around here

oh and my friends apartment parking lot is gravel so i hated drivign in it already but it's also filled with pot hole (i mean you can't even drive 2 feet with out hitting on) but i'm sure i won't be going there any more lol
 
Looks great! How's the ride? Is it harsh? I have monroe shocks right now too and I dont think my rides feels like it's suppose to, I'm thinking it's the schocks, but we'll see later. I have oem shocks waiting to go on.
 
yea its my dads, he'll probably never drop it either since he drive to downtown chicago every day for work

before it felt like the car would float all over the road, but now its nice and firm with almost no roll when turning

alex let me know if it changes when you switch to oem shocks
 
How hard was it to install the springs? Air tools or no?

I want to do install the shocks fist to compare oem vs monroe, then drive a few days lke that to feel if there is a difference and then install springs.

You have to remove the springs to change the shocks, yes? Just change the springs then!!

I had Monroe's a few years back. They were so bad I returned them and went back to OEM. The sport shock with the SpringTech (Sprint) springs combo I had was very nice. Not too choppy like the euro shocks were, but rode and handled well.

Yea alax just change it all while youre down there. I am wishing i had just put in new shox when i did ny springs.

I know you have to take the spring out too to change shocks, but I wanted to compare oem to monroe. I asked a while ago and no one said anything so I was going to try it myself, but now my speculations have been confirmed, so i'm done with monroe.

NOW I understand. I misunderstood your question. I thought you were questioning the springs, not shocks. I would call the Monroes SensaCRAPS instead of Sensatrac. IMHO they were garbage; floaty and quite mushy. The OEM sports are MUCH better!

Yep. Had my daughter not been driving; and ultimately getting; the 2000 LS I would still have them on! I'm glad you like them!
 
Looks good right now, but put people in it and after it settles it will definitely be too low. The streets I drive on would destroy that car at that height, even at stock height it's almost to low stock for many roads around here. But as sits in the pictures it does look good.
