Does anyone know a good mechanic in the South Florida reigion, Palm Beach County specifically. Im looking to get my Fuel Pump replaced sometime within the next 2000 miles along with some other things and don't know a competent fair mechanic, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had some work done by Hugo aligment or Hugo auto repair in Hollywood florida, He was good and cheap he is in yahoo buisnesses in hollywood

A fuel pump is a pretty straight forward job. I'd just shop for the lowest price.

If they :q:q:q:q up they fix it under the worst situation.

i'm not that close to you but i would do it for you cheap if you wanted to drive up to tarpon springs, you can also look over my parts collection, you might go home with a trunk of parts!! and you dont have to worry about the quality of my labor, just ask around these forums, some of these members are my personal friends and customers.

That might make for a worthwile trip. I'll let you know, I'm looking to do that sometime in the next couple of months.

keep me posted i'll do your fuel pump cheap, it would be a good way to burn the gas out of the tank too, driving here!!!

Good job it ain't me and you doing it, Jamie - I'd forget not to smoke and blow us up! Lol.

I'd trust Jamie with my car... but I'd have to watch him to make sure he didn't turn some quick wrenches and take my steering wheel and shift knob :D

lol come on now, jack carter brought his supercharged 97 to my shop for repairs and i didnt even take it for a ride. i dont screw with other peoples cars ever. i would never steal something off someone else's car.

yup, with 2nd gens the most common thing is the dual vacuum lines that come off the left side of the intake!

well everytime someone us taking about dummy lights on they say CE for check engine, i thought he asked if i ever worked on a 2nd gen with a check engine light on!

jamie now that u mentioned the ce light mine is on. I dodnt have an idea on where to start? can u help me out of piont me in the right direction

this plug is on your driverside strut cover under the hood.
do this, then turn the key on acc position and count the check engine light blinks to get your codes, then look up the number in the dtc code list to see what your problems are.
