I'm helping my brother hook up a stereo in his bucket and he wants some dynamat installed while we're ripping everything. I figured it would be a good time for me to buy some deadening material for the LS while I'm ordering some from online. I checked at some local shops to see how much they charged... whoa. Forget that route. But while I was online I came across some other products that I've heard of but never known anyone thats used and was wonderin if anyone has any comments or opinions. For the price some of them you can't beat and I can't believe dynamat is 5x's better than some of these other deadening products so I am a little hesitant to pay up to 5x's more.

Here are my options as of today:
Dynamat Xtreme
Second Skin
Brown Bread
FatMat Rattle Trap

Leaning towards Brown Bread

I have used SecondSkin Damplifier Pro multiple times... Most recently this weekend I deadened the trunk lid of the LS. Stuff is awesome.

I have used Fatmat (and a little Dynamat) on two LSes. My opinion is you can't beat it for the price (I got it on Ebay) Just put it on when it is hot outside (not winter) and you should notice a definite improvement. Especially on the bass rattle end of things. Having used both, Dynamat is a good product but you are paying for a name.

I used some HushMat when installing Infinity Kappas in my 06. Was pretty inexpensive as I recall.

Best deal I saw online for dynamat xtreme was 260 for the mega pack, 72 sq ft, but FatMat is only about 160 for 100 sq ft if I remember correctly.
