Hey guys, just figured I would share what I have been up to...

Got a set of 96 LSC headlights from a forum member here for $125 bucks.

The bottom light is virgin, the top lense is finished.

After I refinished the lenses, I put a tiny bit of soap and water inside the housing and rolled a shop paper towel into strips and put them in the housing. Then I kind of shook the housing around allowing the weight of the paper towel to wipe the inside surfaces of the light. It worked awesomely as the inside of the lens and the reflectors were dirty.

I bought the housings to refinish and sell, but they cleaned up so perfectly that I really want to keep them now, but I have not decided. Anyone want to buy some 2 year old mint Halogen housings?

Anyway, here is another item. I needed to make a bracket to hold the top of my alternator, but didn't want the whole arched part anymore so I took an idea from Sapperfire...

Anyway, thats a little of what is going on. I am gearing up to do a bunch of stuff to my car in the next few months. Oil pan gasket, adapter gasket, 1 1/4 sway bars, trans mount, 93 driveshaft, 04 Cobra manifolds and new exhaust, Bilstien rear shocks, and Turbo Chuck motor mounts. I had planned on selling the Headlights to buy the steering shaft parts and my exhaust pipes, but we'll just see what happens. ENJOY THE COLORED PIXELS!

I'm glad you decided to put the alt. bracket on. That should look pretty cool like that.

Let me know how much of that "double D" bar stock you need. I bought a whole 18" section of it a couple years ago and only need a couple inches...

I'd make you a good deal on it.

Lights look good man! Id like to clean the insides of my lights, they're a little dusty inside..I'm just afraid to use any soap in fear of messing up the chrome..what did you use/are you going to use on the lenses to protect from uv rays since the original coating is gone?

98lincmk7lsc, Thanks for the offer but I actually just cut up a piece of a jy column that I got the black sleeve off of for the steering shaft mod, so I already have the DD lug that attaches to the U-joint. As for the soap in the housings, I just used some dish soap. My guess is if your chrome has issues, the paper towel may take some chrome off, as it did at the top of mine, but if your chrome is fine, it shouldnt hurt it.
