Well guys I have sold the Mark VIII!

Last night I posted it for sale on craigslist & this morning it was sold. It's a 95 with 125,000 miles on her & was very very clean. I sold it for what I was asking too, $5,000. I think I got a pretty good selling price for her & the new owner seemed to really love her.

I might stop by every now & again to say hello. It's a great site & lots of help to the Mark VIII owner. I will not be buying another Mark VIII. I am leaning towards a 90's toyota p/u. Reliable, good on gas & run for ever + I really need a truck anyways. The mark was fun but not practical for me anymore.

Take care everyone.:)

I always like your car regardless of our views on HID lights....

Someday I'm going to build an 86 4x4 Toyota Mini truck on 33's... that would be sweet!

Good Luck!

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. You know I've been thinking about it & I might as well just stick around here! I like talking on these forums & I can still talk about Mark VIII's. My buddy still has a 1994 Mark anyways.

Anyways, I saw a 1990 Toyota extra cab for sale at a local Chevrolet dealer. I have NEVER purchased a car from a dealer & I had no intention of doing so until I saw this truck & met an awesome salesman who let me talk him down to $3,000 out the door! This guy totally changed my image of what a typical car salesman is. I know it's a 1990 but it looks every bit as clean as my mark was plus I still have 2 grand in my wallet. It's even got the 3.0 V-6 engine.

I had a boat that I also recently sold & my 8 year old was pretty bummed because he really wanted to go fishing & hang out. I told him that I would sell the Mark VIII & get a truck so we could back up to the lake & go fishing, camping & other father & son stuff. What do you think about it?

Looks great, are you gonna put some HID's in it? A spider valve?

Wow, that truck looks mint. Not very attractive imho design wise, but wow that truck was really taken care of.

Good luck with the yota I already have 1 its a 92 v6 x-cab. If you have any questions about it feel free to pm me, mines got 200,200 miles as of yesterday still runs like new. One good thing is its already got the 5x4.5 bolt pattern so you can put tons of wheels on it. LOL

Was good having you hear... as with cars times change and so do your rides...

Thanks for all the input stop in from time to time..

Oh and great deal on the Mark.. $5000 is a great price...

I would pay for a Toyota mini truck that is that clean... I mean DAMN, it will run forever anyways so it should last you long enough to get your moneys worth.

Stick around you know alot about marks.
Your a good member here.

Your going to miss your mark and buy another one ;)

sad to hear did you tell the new owner to come here
also that is the cleanest toy of that model and year I have ever seen

Thanks guys, You know I think it was a really good decision. I know that my mark was very clean & cost nearly 40k new, however I have seen some really nice gen1's & gen2's selling for the same or less. I think that 5k was pretty good money for her. I couldn't believe it, I got the truck home, crawled underneath & discovered that the trans is BRAND NEW! That makes me very happy to see.

My friend's 94 Mark is in need of a little help these days. It looked exactly like my 95, wheels, tint, stance, exhaust, etc. Only difference is that his is pearl white. I will be helping him fix a couple of minor leaks, buff the paint, clean the interior, etc. He was a member here but he never talks! Only reads.
I will take some pics of his car after the work is done.

Now I only have 1 ford left, the 2000 expedition. The wife drives it. I just picked up a 95 Hyundai accent for my daughter & I now have the Toyota.

Some pics...

I wouldn't like driving it but I figured it would be great for my soon to be 16 year olds 1st car.

I would have been stoked about $5000 for a first gen.

Yeah I think it was pretty good. I just ran across a very nice 98 mark today for $3,500. I don't think the crappy economy is helping the prices either. The guy that I purchased my 95 from has a mint 98 LSC CE that he will let go for $5k. It is super clean. He bought it 4 years ago when he sold me his old one (the 95) He paid $8,000 for it then & it seemed like a bargain!

Wow. That Toyota truck looks to be in showroom condition! I'd be scared to use it! Lol.

I have always parked all of my cars away from others whenever I go somewhere. That's how I kept the Lincoln so nice. I also keep my car in the garage. Hopefully I can keep it just as nice as it is now. I am a freak when it comes to any of my vehicles!!! If I see a finger print on the paint or window I have to take care of it right away.
