So my trans is telling me it wants to die....

I finally get some stuff done to my mark and the trans wants to die. Whats the best thing to do, have it rebuilt with stronger parts or should i find a different one all together? what do you think?

You could find a good 98, 99, 00 for less than a rebuild. Just gotta look around. Some of those rebuilds can be very expensive. Then trusting that they did put in all the upgraded parts that are already in the years listed above.

Yeah, trusting your trans rebuilder is a must. Them some shiesty folk.

i had to have the trans rebuilt on my 94, and every 6 mo i had to take it back because it kept going out and the mech had no clue what was going on. but he kept rebuilding it so i wasn't too worried, except for the time he called me to pick it up and when i got there, he lowered the lift, backed it out of the bay, then nothing but free reving. needless to say, this guy has not worked on any other cars of mine since

Most of the tranny rebuilders around here are twaak heads, try to find a low mile 98 if you can.
