It's going to be repaired fairly soon. I opened a topic about this earlier I think, but I need some fresh new opinions.

I have an 02 LSE, and my front bumper needs to be replaced because my passenger side fog light housing is broken. My question to you guys is, do I go after-market (I was looking at the Wings-West Front Fascia)and get 2 new fog lights? or should I go stock and get 1 new fog light?

Im sure I just need the front fascia? Im not completely learned in the process of bodywork so I don't really know what everything I need.

When I went to a body shop, the guy said the whole bumper needed replacement. He quoted me on a non LSE bumper, 2 new fog lights, paint and all labor for almost $1200. I can get the Labor free through a guy my Uncle knows, but I'd like to keep the cost down just because, it's costly? What do you guys think would look the best style wise? cost wise?

Stylewise, I'd go with the gen2 LSE fron bumper. But that's my personal preference. Don't go non-LSE, that's for sure.

have you checked the salvage yards if you could find one there you could take it to an auto body school and they'd problabypaint it for next to nothing

That kind of peaks my interest. My first reaction was too much! But I read everything that it had. I'll keep that in consideration and get a quote from that shop.

Good find :D

Does the 2nd gen bolt right on? I thought I read there was some minor mosd you had to do to it.

It does bolt right up. If you were to also upgrade to the gen2 headlights, then you need a different support bracket to mount those.

Does upgrading to the 2nd Gen headlights get rid of the gap when you put the '03-06 LSE bumper on an '00-02?

He knows, it was just a general question concerning my post talking about the headlight swap.

I think that's what he was talking about anyways.

A member on here has been listing LSE bumpers on ebay. Looks like he has several. They seem to be going for a decent price too if ya wanna go that route. If I had the extra flo layin around i'd grab one just to have a spare. I'm always paranoid about screwin up my bumpers since I know they don't make them anymore. Then again if anything ever hapened it would be a good excuse to upgrade though lol.

i like the one that is on extcme's 06 with the round fog lights but i bet they cost alot

I'm now on my second broken fog light on my 06. The lens are glass and apparently they break easily when rocks hit them. I have about 50K miles on it. My 04 has the rectangular fog lights with plastic lens. I'm at 100K on it, and no fog lights broken.

I was looking at that kit Pektel posted just now. It says there will be a slight gap between the headlights and the bumper, is there any reason to worry about this? I can't really think of any real bad things that could happen. Also, does anyone have a pic of a first gen with the second gen LSE bumper / kit?

Check my photo gallery. I have a gap on the drivers side under the headlight. It's about a 1/2 inch-1 inch gap, but I'm not too concerned. I plan on getting the 03-06 headlights and mount to fix it sometime.

That is what I was talking about with upgrading the headlights before. If you have a 1st Gen and put on the 2nd Gen LSE bumper you will have that gap but you can also upgrade to the 2nd Gen headlights to get rid of the gap, from what I'm told. So if you don't want the gap you can upgrade both right away. Someone said you need different mounting brackets to put the Gen2 headlights into a Gen1. Is there a kit for that or can you take the brackets from a Gen2 and have it fit a Gen1?
