Smoother Ride

Okay, yes I did do a search. Found loads of information on the Gen1 LS. Now the simple question:

What is the easiest way to soften the ride on my 2003 LS V8 Sport? I like everything about this "little" car except the teeth jarring suspension. I have no desire to road race it and would appreciate a smoother ride. I did replace the 235/50/17 with 235/55/17 and that helped a lot. Needed tires anyway so what the heck. Will the base shocks and 16" wheels with 225/60/16 help to get closer to what I am looking for?

What are the part #s for the factory base shocks for an '03?

There's no "base" shock for the '03+ LSes; they all have the Sport suspension. The shocks are interchangeable for all years, though, so just order the base shocks for a previous year.

Front: 1W4Z 18124-BA
Rear: XW4Z 18125-AA
