Was given a pioneer head unit, nothing fancy, just used to replaced the old stocker. Car came with JBL sound system, single din, 6 speakers, factory amp, etc. I bought this adapter harness, and everything plugged right in. Followed all the color codes by matching up the wires, and the only ones that are not hooked up from the adapter, are the illumination, dimmer, and power antenna. Problem is, my right side doesn't work.

Could be that the right channel is out on the head unit, I would also check the harness. The aftermarket ford premium harnesses like to push the pins out the back when you plug them in.

Thanks, I checked and the pins seem all fine and there. I believe the head unit is the culprit as stated, so I will be switching to another soon. Thanks for the help. :D

Installed another head unit, still no sound from the right side. Previous owner had a system, as the battery to amp cable was left, and looks like they tied some rca jacks into the factory amp, might be the right speaker they tied it into, not sure. Don't know a whole alot about car audio, except that this sucks.

sounds kinda messed up.. but that's the right harness. should work.
the JBL amp might also be dying. becoming more commonplace.
time to rewire it all!! it will sound better anyway.

(btw, the JBL system is an 8 speaker system with 6 channels. (although the head unit only has 4 channels. (and the music you play is stereo! only 2 channels.))) weird huh? ;) )

Real common for the factory amps to go out on one side, and it's usually the right side. Try unplugging all 3 connectors at the amp, and rub some dielectric grease in them. Sometimes it helps, as poor connections are common at the amp.
