SHO vs Mark 8??

That is true however you gain around 1mph at the track with just the timing adjuster by itself.

Well quite a few replies have been posted since i was last here. Thanks 98lsc for knowing about cars. Some people don't know about the little extra things you can do under the hood to gain hp or torque. Just what they read or what people tell them to buy. Would I suggest messing with the timing for a daily driver no, but if you are at the track or its just a strip car then yea i would go for it.

Senior Frog pray for those little 6 pack motors that are heading into the Dungeon of Pain this week for their durability tests at 470 HP,if they live then there's a good chance I can SHO you one in July. OH, it's going to be Black with 20" rims too.ARrrrr

I don't have the number yet, but if my big $ss gets in it it will easily be close to 4 large. I looked for the 09's and I didn't see it either. Was informed that the 0-60 goal would be under 6 seconds (5.5 ??)

yea so road boss.....i'd skip the SHO and just do up another mark like you have for a daily.....that thing seems sick!

Wow this thread took a deadly turn huh? lol, I did hear that during a timing belt Install (60k) you can jump a tooth and advance timing by 3 deg, herd it works wonders at high altitudes but I never tried it. One thing about the SHO, It had a helluva Sleeper look. I busted many-a-Mustang in my SHO's (tears)....

I just learned that these guys are starten to develope some stuff.

RUN FAR FAR AWAY from ANYTHING JOHN HENNESSEY is involved in.

He's a local guy here in houston and his dirty laundry is known world wide.

he bought our beloved dragstrip, killed the bracket program, called Tiffany and myself and the rest of the bracket racers QUOTE "A buncha broke dick racers".

He's been known to take a viper that is is modding and sell off the stock parts to other viper owners.

He's an absolute TOOL BAG.

just say NO to hennessey.

"you've been warned".

You've done it now, Tommy. Shattered my dreams! Lol.

*Removes Hennessey Viper from future purchase list*

:D

sorry dood, he's screw'd so many people here in houston and all acrossed the country.. I just couldn't tolerate him screwing any LVC folks.

his new "racing program" is called the 60-160 roll on challenge.
They took a perfectly good dragstrip and KILLED IT.

now they have "cinnabon ROLL on" racing sponsored by Cinnabon and Secret ROLL ON deoderant!

they set it up because the cars he builds cannot launch from a standing start without BREAKING, so they make a special olympics race JUST for these 'tards.

That's ok. If I ever want something like that I'll buy a bone stock vehicle and have a local (ish) reputable specialist do the work. No sense in paying extra $$ for a name.

seriously, though.. a STOCK viper is fast as hell.

I think I could drive a stock one and be perfectly happy, no need to CHUNK 75K at a 50K car.

I don't get that either... who buys a Viper and needs to mod it right away... isn't there ever enough... lol

either motor trend or car and driver said close to if not 5 seconds flat ,remember it has 6 speeds and first is awful short, a real rip snorter, and dont forget the awd, should have wonderful 60 foot times too,

As far as SHO vs Mark VIII. The best any of us could wring out of my friends 92 MTX SHO was a full 4 tenths slower than my stock Mark VIII. Didn't get any side by side runs, but the runs were all on the same day.

i actually have a friend here that had a twin turbo viper with 1000+ HP and TQ at the wheels. he would actually lay the dyno sheet on the dash when he parked. he sold it and now has a lambo, damn i wish i was rich

The 2010 SHO is nice but i just saw the price 37K! i would never pay that much for a SHO just think lay out another 10g's about and you got a NEW GT500! or pick up a nice 03 cobra for 23K and use the rest of the cash to throw a kenne bell on that bad boy and you will slaughter a SHO. nice car but 10G's to much.
