how did the a/c work in that heat?

Mark VIIIs don't have great ACs to begin with, so sucking in air that hot... it sucked.

This was mid July between Tucson and Mexico, that wasn't an exaggerated number.

Ibteresting. My Marks have always had one of the strongest AC setups of any car I owned. Shows 31* at the vents and that was today showing 108* on the cars display with a 111* index.

I'm probably just spoiled by the AC in my Crown Vic. It makes every other AC seem to suck, from my Saturn to my friends Powerstroke. On the Mark, the vent temp is cold on lower settings, but probably gets to 45-50 on high, and the air volume of the Mark on max is comparable to the Vic at about 60%. I'll measure it next time I'm super bored.

The a/c on my '96 that I'm trying to sell is freakin' frigid! The '97, not so much. It takes a minute or two for it to cool down and then it's not that cold. The a/c on the '96 Cobra? Arctic! I love it! It's too bad all cars can't have an a/c that good. It's been around 95-99 here. Heat index around 105. Humidity feels like 300%. It actually makes it hard to breathe outside. And we've had thunderstorms for the past couple of days and looks like one is coming in now. It's horrible. You know it's bad when the kids don't even want to go outside. My central air is working overtime

Yeah I couldn't imagine being in that type of heat and humidity plus being shot at :shifty:
