Can a Gen2 seat be installed in a Gen 1?

With modifications, yes, it can go in there but don't expect heated seats. Power plugs will need to be swapped out and you'll need a electrical schematic. Maybe a Gen 2 seat will fit on a Gen 1 track, I don't know. Seems like it's been asked before but any seat can go in with modifications. The Gen 2 is a direct fit and does not directly plugin.

It will bolt in. That's all you'll get without modifying.

In order to get Gen 2 seats in a Gen 1, you must remove the seat cushions from the Gen 2 and put them on the Gen 1 Seat frame. The controls will be Gen 1, as you will not be swapping the Gen2 seat trim.
