Has anyone successfully installed a passenger seat cover on a drivers seat? I have searched the forums but, I didn't see any definitive answer.

I saw someone put a passenger seat bottom on a driver's seat.

The openings where the seat back connects to the seat bottom are different sizes because of the outboard location of the recliner motor.

It wasn't a perfect fit, but it looked a lot better than the original ripped leather.

try finding good leather skins to replace with, all the mark VIII's i buy and strip i almost never get front seats that arent trashed. its alot easier to buy a rear seat skin from the same color interior and having an upholstery shop use the rear leather to fix the front. i/ve done this its a dead match and you can even tell its been done. i have tons of rear seat skins in a bunch of colors for sale.

Thanks for all the feedback, I would love to find 93 seat covers in pristine condition but I know that I have as much a chance of that as winning the lottery. I do have access to good 98 foam but, my girlfriend swore the wrath of God on me if I touched them, funny, I thought I bought that car. I especially like the idea of the 98 foam, those seats are allot easier on my back and legs.
I will continue searching the bone yards and upholstery shops for a good deal.
If any of you have had the seats made from scratch and want to share what you paid for them, I would appreciate it.

Jamie, I would be interested in what you would charge for light graphite, enough to do both front seats please.

Jamie...shipping and cost of a rear seat leather...someone left tires in the backseat on a hotday...and i dont really like the michelin imprinted on my back seats grey colour for a 94 if it matters...would be great to have a new one because the front seats are mint and the backs were mint before the tire misfortune...live in canada near toronto...
