SCT Flasher Software

I'm alittle slow but I have a question.
Whats the difference between SCT's "Extreme personal tuning software" http://www.sctflash.com/xtreme.php which is a free download and "The Pro Racer Package" that is $499. http://www.modulardepot.com/product...?products_id=88

I'm a firm believer in "If it cost more its got to be better," but I'm curious.

A ton. The Pro Racer package is the same software that a SCT dealer uses to tune vehicles for his business. The only difference is that it's locked to a single vechile.

The QuickTune software (which I have) allows you to adjust a tune - not create one. So I can firm up a shift, or correct a speedo for tire/rim swaps, ...

Can I use the quicktune to adjust for nitrous or do I need the pro racer software.
What is the best way to set up nitrous and does Torrie sell it?

Technically - yes - but the interface seems a little too crude to set things exactly. If you used it in conjunction with a data logger to fine tune your settings... maybe.

Call Torrie (904.819.9637) - he'll tell you if he feels comfortable enough to do a NOS tune remotely. If not - use the SCT website to find a dealer near you - one with a dyno so you can tune it pulling some runs at WOT and then add that tune to your flasher.
