smoked some guy in his gullwing scion tc today. he had a bunch of those high performance racing stickers and was next tome heard the idle and started revving his fart cannon, which i cant figurevout why its mounted sideways with the tips facing up into the rain. anyhow i didnt think id take himoff the line, but he had an automatic too, he got a good jump, but i just ran him down passed him crossed in front and went around him again. love it. cant wait for dynotune this wk. still need someone to find me or lend me the $ for the cobra intake. under normal circumstances it does offer a little gain over stock manifold, but when major changes such as cams are done it provides a signifigant upgrade. found one on ebay looks unused with everything, tb, injectors, fuel rails.allof it.

nice lol, a lot of them mount the mufflers on a slant because they are too big to be mounted straight like normal mufflers

they mount them at a slant and up to copy these.....

the supra was pretty much the first car to do this. its done like that because that particular mounting minimizes bends. IIRC having it mounted like that and the exhaust only really has 1 35 or so degree bend allowing for free flow.

the other cars actually ADD bends to make it look like that.

love those supras. you cant find one anywhere or someone wanting to sell. great cars they were.the pipe he had was entirely acrosss the back and had dual tip outlet with45 degree facing up at angle.

+1. I love those MK IV's and I also like the MK III's as well. I actually ALMOST had an MK III Supra turbo 5-speed targa back about 10 years ago. Found it for cheap cause it needed some work, but the seller sold it out from under me before I could get it. There was also a guy who lived just down the road from me who had about 8 or 10 MK III's just sitting in his yard that he kept for years, but he passed away and whoever inherited the place got rid of all the Supras and now there's all kinds of random other cars sitting around the yard. If I had known they were going to do that, I might've gone down there to talk to them about getting one. As far as MK IV's around here, you NEVER see them except for occasionally at car shows.

As far as the ricers and their exhaust, I've seen them run near 90* bends just so they can have their mufflers turned at some funky angle. They either do that or they'll go out and have a full 4" exhaust run so their little 1.5 liter has NO backpressure whatsoever. To me, though, the dumbest looking thing is when I see a little Honda Civic 4-cylinder running aftermarket dual exhaust.

Another place to check for 96-98 intakes and the accessories like the rails and IAC tube is corral.net in the classifieds section. That's where I ended up getting a couple misc. items like the IAC tube and rails.

I remember watching that video of yours like a few days ago you posted up on here. What do you have done in that video? Is that with the 4.10 gears? Anyhow, with those cams you have now and a stall converter AND the Cobra intake, I could see your car getting nasty pretty quick on the street. DLF and I both run low to mid 13s on the stock cams, so it should be pretty interesting. You should get a dyno tune and consider switching to SCT. ;)
