So today i removed my exhaust from the h-pipe back and made some turndowns... the sound is crazy really deep muscle sound. i was surprised to hear it when i first started the car, but hopefully ill get a video up so everyone who wanted to know what it would sound like can hear it.

Here are some pics...

sounds good, is it because of the blackberry video quality that it doesn't sound too loud? Or is it not too loud?

You should put the first video in the Video thread.

That doesn't seem too bad. And it sounds great.

SO what exactly did you do? Just cut the pipes after the H and put on those turn down deals?

Also be careful speeding down a road lined with cars on both sides, what if someone had opened their door or walked between them and you didn't see.

L

BTW the undercarriage of your LS is VERY clean.

its loud very loud and without those turndowns it vibrates the hell out of the car. The sound was extremely shocking. my roommate who used to have a 69 cougar was shocked and wanted to know how much i had paid for the sound lol.

lol they hear me coming, but no i made sure there wasn't anyone around besides my neighbor who you see.

but there are two exhaust clamps that mate the pipes to the h-pipe and all you have to do is unbolt those and try and remove the damn rubber hangers that have metal inside them lol(found that out trying to cut them off) and its off. i did cut the two turndowns out of 45 degree 2 1/4 pipe that i got at the local autoparts store. they do have turndowns that they sell but they were sold out at the time. total cost was around $20.00.

yea its an assless ls....maybe he cud hang to fake tips from there...i wonder if in person its louder then my straght pipes....

LOL! I see a lot of cars around here that do this! It's funny but when it's cold like it is now its completely noticable on the ricers. ;)

i was thinking of running fake tips and trying to find a spot to hang them, but since the bottom lip on the ls starts to roll in towards the car it doesn't really show that bad. But ya its loud people definitely turn their head when you start coming down the street and dont expect that sound from this car.
