Going to be planning an exhaust upgrade and was wondering whether deleting the resonators will make the car sound more aggressive?

may get some raspyness but you can replace them with an xpipe to help that, I eventually plan on putting some type of balance tube in place as mine is a bit raspy, not awful but i think the crossover will help

As previously mentioned, YES it will sound more "aggressive," but as with most things, its a trade off. Maybe you'll get some drone, and or unwanted rasp depending on the set up you go with.

You're best bet is probably to keep them on, and if you're not satisfied you can always take them off later. And definitely check out youtube for some sound clips.

I went the other way since I went to 2.5" pipe.... I didn't see the point in going to 2.5" pipe if you're just going to keep the 2.25" resonators. I went without resonators first figuring I can always add them if needed.

Now after a few days I decided I like mine without. It took me having someone else drive it and listen from outside to make that decision, but I'm happy.

I've yet to do that since I did my exhaust

I just can't think of a person I trust enough to drive my LS in a way that would truly show off the exhaust ;)

Only people I can think off are some of the guys on here lol

I had a girlfriend drive it in a big open parking lot.... she has no problem getting on it if I tell her too

I have magnaflow with resnator delete. Its loud, but nothing crazy, at higher rpms it is a bit raspy but still sounds nice and very aggrissive.

check out my youtube channel and you can see some videos.

My LS sounded like complete trash with the resonator delete. It was raspy and crackled, so I threw a set of flowthru style, glass pack, on there. What do you plan on running for mufflers? Believe it or not that matters for picking out what resonator to use.

I use Jones resonators from summit. $19ea http://www.summitracing.com/search?keyword=jex-a3518s-8&dds=1

They are setup similar to the stock resonators but they are 2.5" and the openings inside seem larger and are spiraled. I am using them with Magnaflow mufflers and there is no drone or raspy sound. They are a bit higher tone than a Mustang and sound very good IMO.

I am also using a 2.5" x-pipe and 2 1/4" Thunderbolt CATs so that gives mine a little beefy-er sound. I am considering buying a set of Bassani mufflers soon. So many projects, so little time.
