Anyone ever replace their mirror blinker LED strips with something newer?

mine seem so dull, you can barely even see them when blinking. Also my pass puddle light is out so I just disassembled the entire mirror and took the lighting housing out.

Just hooked the LED blinker up to my battery and it is somewhat brighter but also appears to be red... i thought it was just a dark orange.

I was wondering how it would be to get a newer brighter orange LED strip and put in the housing instead.

Just wondering if anyone has done this?

Now while the mirror is apart, i can paint the housing and trim and replace the puddle light... probably go LED there as well.

When you determined that they were dim, were you sitting in the car? If so, you are correct. Put the blinker on and close the door. Stand back from the car and you will see they are bright. They are angled out from the driver so the cars on the side can see them. I doubt they are dim. LED's are on or off. They don't go dim over time.

that makes sense... i did see the angled louvers in there after i pulled the mirror apart. I was just to tired to investigate any more, lol.
