what type of brake pads do you guys recommend i need ot change them today

If this is a daily driver, EBC Greenstuff or Satisfied Brakes ceramic. I've used both, quiet and low dust.

Ceramics are the way to go... the autozone brand (whichever one they stock at the store) I've found to be pretty decent... Reasonable price too!

EBC reds are good, but I'm unhappy about the noise which has shown up and is very resistant to conventional methods of fixing.

I hear Porterfield are the best thing going...

You should really do a search on this for it is well covered with a lot of recommendations depending on your driving style.

I bought motorcraft ones from the ford dealership. The service dept. guy said they sell them at cost because they are a maintenance item, They were only a few bucks more than the ones at autozone so why not?

I LOVE the Centric pads. NO DUST, GREAT stopping power, they are some of the best pads I have used for Daily driving. (favorites are hawk HPS)

Yep -many threads on this.

I am fairly late braking and therefore hard on them. I use Porterfield Carbon Kevlar pads on both my daily drviers - the Lincoln and the Lotus.

Low dust, low fade. However - if you are very easy on your brakes they may not get enough heat in them to be worth the extra money. I beleive a set runs about $120 for all 4 corners.
