I bought motorcraft ones from the ford dealership. The service dept. guy said they sell them at cost because they are a maintenance item, They were only a few bucks more than the ones at autozone so why not?
I am fairly late braking and therefore hard on them. I use Porterfield Carbon Kevlar pads on both my daily drviers - the Lincoln and the Lotus.
Low dust, low fade. However - if you are very easy on your brakes they may not get enough heat in them to be worth the extra money. I beleive a set runs about $120 for all 4 corners.
I replaced my Hawk Super Duty pads on my F-150 with those... night and day difference. One of my biggest problems with my over-sized tires was brake fade... the ceramic pads REALLY improve on brake fade. And they are more gentle on rotors than metallic
