Local auto parts place doesn't have any t-bird or cougar shocks!! Pisses me off!! Will crown vic shocks fit or anything else?!

Not sure. =/ I am just trying to get some shocks as of right now. Car is done, and this is the only thing holding it back..pretty upset. Just checked and they dont have irs cobras either....

sort of. you pull out the stock mounts and burn the rubber off or put in a steel plate with the correct holes drilled in it.

I know a really good place to get some stainless steel shock mounts... ;)

Let me know, I've got another run of them coming very soon, just waiting on the nuts and washers...

You must be in the middle of nowhere if you can't get thoes shocks
But summit racing has always delivered fast for me so has jegs.

For a Thunderbird, p/n 8041-1202Sport.

Thank you! Any particular reason why these are better than other shocks? I know Konis are top notch products, but wanted to know if there is a specific perk. Kind of sucks that the front Air struts can not be done Koni way.

i found a few of the koni's for sale, but are they really worth $140-145 a piece?

I've never ran koni's but i'd never pay that much per shock. I'm haveing a hard time spending 60ea rears/80ea fronts for Tokico's on a almost 15 year old car.

Last shocks you'll ever buy for the car. The rebound is adjustable and they can be rebuilt by Koni if it should ever become necessary.

I'm sure they're a great shock and i'd prob love to own some, I just couldn't swallow paying that much for just shiocks on an old car.

What does the age if the car have to do with anything
My "old" car drives way better than most new cars

Believe it or not, I put a set of heavy duty '94 Explorer rear shocks on my '96 Mark and they worked just fine. The only reason I did it was because the shocks on the Mark were shot..as in leaking fluid shot. I was totally flat as a pancake broke (as I am most of the time:)), and I had these Explorer shocks that I had bought a couple of years earlier and never used laying in the tool box. So I took them out and bolted them in. They worked fine.

More of just a personel opinion. There are certain things I wouldn't spend a bunch of money on, that includes $hocks.
