hi guys,,is there some kinda bushing on top of the shock under the sensor,my rear passenger side shock sounds like it is banging or bottoming out everytime I hit a bump really sounds and feels bad and my friend at the parts store says there is no replacement parts showing for that shock on his computer only a 500.00 kit to replace it all,and it it hard to remove I have never taken one out

do a search you will find alot on this
just by 96-67 T-bird shocks and burn out the old bushings in the shock
mount

This on a 93? If so, that thing isn't a sensor on top of the shock, its a motor for adjusting the shock between soft and firm. (i think they did away with this on later models due to a better shock design)

Probably the rear mount rubber bushing is toast. You can burn out the bushings and order a set of Monroe Sensatracs for a 96' T Bird from somewhere like www.rockauto.com

Or, you could enquire with Max at Five Star Ford for new mounts...

Or, you could do as i did and get solid type mounts off E Bay.

Many cheap and easy options whatever you decide. Do a search for more shock info and replacement procedures. (its a pretty straight forward job)

The mount for that is a f3ly-18197-a list is 37.98 ea and LVC is 27.35 plus frt. If you need new bolts and washers a kit for each side is a f8lz-18197-aa list is $55.00 and LVC is 39.60 ea plus frt.

I really can not recommend OEM in this case. I purchased OEM and they are already shot. They are "liquid" filled like the engine mounts and break down really bad.

I purchased solids, but......
