rear neon flicker

if the rear neon is flickering, is this usueally the bulb, or the ballast?

I would check the grounds first they break easy
then move on to the ballast

i dont have it yet, this is for one i am thinking of buying for $90.. looks pritty clean but the guy tells me the ballast is bad because it flickers. i have a good ballast on mine to use, i am just afraid the bulb may be crap..

You're usually safe on the bulbs. Most of the time it's the ballast.

its the ballast, its going, eventually itll stop working........

Yup, Ballast. Bulbs dont often go out.
