Really stupid Q about PCV.

Um...is all of that PVC breather crap important to be hooked up?

This is the best picture of mine I could find. This is what I did to it instead of buying the line again. The line was dry rotted and cracked bad. I have to plug one of the ends on the intake and the other also, and put small holes in them to keep the motor running. Haven't had any problems with them. I also put little breathers on the valve covers.
Am I messing it up by doing this?

I have not had time to switch, working 13 hours days SUCKS!

Breathers are ok. With older engines the crank case can build up explosive fumes - at least that is the theory. I think with older engine when fuel and oil mixed a lot more it was more likely the case. But what you would not want to do is seal it off completely. The PVC system simply pulls fresh air through the valve cover and such to remove such fumes.

In the first pic, upper right hand corner of the manifold. Isn't that where the EGR module goes?

Really? So you mean that sealed off, silicon coated inside and out with a rubber plug designed to close that port is the leak?

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle!

Ya, because I am not a complete idiot :) lol And I would think it would seem logical that it would be sealed.
