Those of you with ramps, what brand/model/material do you use? I've tried two different brands, both a hard rubber and every time I try to drive up the ramp the car just pushes the ramps forward. I have yet to be able to drive up the ramp.

Any ideas?

They need something to grip so they don't slip when you intially pull onto them. Most rubber/plastic style ramps I've tried using do the same thing.

Put something heavy infront of them. Like a sandbag, cinderblock, a child.

Ya know, whatever you have lying around.

I have the hard rubber ones. They are okay on rough concrete, but they do slide forward on smooth concrete. The solution I found is to put an old towel under each ramp. That usually, but not always, works. Probably, rubber door mats would work better.

Don't know the brand because I've had them forever but my hard plastic ramps have a little rubber pad on the back that digs in when I drive up them. It also helps to put them right up against the tire and give them a little kick before driving up, to get the wedge under the tire.

drive on lift. :D

but we have big heavy steel ones. rarely slide on rough concrete, usually slide on slick concrete. i just have someone hold the ramp..

You might need extra clearance because lowered.

Thanks, guys. As my garage floor is rather slick I guess I'll have to attach something to the bottom of my present ramps to keep them from sliding.

My driveway was poured in 4 big concrete slabs I just put the back of the ramp in one of the cracks and that stops the ramps from moving on me
