I have a 98 that I want to get a new fan for. Are all years interchangeable. The clip on both end are broke so at time the fan will not turn on due to it not making good contact. Found one local but it a 96. Also if any one has an xtra pigtail connection for the fan shoot me a pm.
 
If it's just the plastic outer shell, you may be able to get it from ford. All year fans are interchangeable, but there are 3 different part numbers. 93-96 are 1 p/n 97 is another p/n and 98 is the final p/n. Is there anything wrong with the fan otherwise?
 
No. Some how the clip broke and no longer able to keep a tight connection fan work. It a bpain cause I have to keep an eye on the gauge if it start to get hot. Pull over wiggle connection and turns on. POS
 
Prices jamie . Remind u have a local guy selling one for 30 buck. I need this fix AsaP summer coming
 
Zip ties won't last in the heat I got something rigged up but not working very well. How much for fan and pigtail
 
Any guesses of a 96 has the same connectrion as a 98
 
I got a fan off a 94 not long ago with the connector/harness (cut about 6") for $20 from a local pick&pull-I would have to think they are not that difficult to find. When I got mine I deliberately made sure to get the plug/wires so that I could hook it to a relay and switch/power at some point so that I could set it up the way I wanted, maybe with some sort of temperature sensor.

Let me know if your are stuck, I am sure I can find a connector and I'll send it to you.

I found out earlier today the 96 won't work. I'm going to the local ask for a part -pull see if I can find one. Its getting hot
