Looking for a vacuum leak I was going to use some carborator cleaner. I believe that's ok but not sure. Also, I have some MAF cleaner maybe I could use that?

Also, ran a bottle of sea foam through the car yesterday to clear up an error. I bought another can to run through the gas but was going to put it through the engine (another one). I imagine it's not going to hurt anything, but figured I'd ask where best to use it. Oil, gas or engine. The directions on it say to put 1/3 in the oil after a new oil change or a 1/3 in the engine. Might just do both.

Getting a p01740 error, either I have a vacuum leak or some bad O2 sensors. (if I'm lucky)

edit: also, quick question. The rear dif. locks up around 38mph right. I don't have my radio hooked up and am hearing quite a lot of what I think is wheel bearing noise. How hard are these to replace? What do I need to take to a shop to get pressed? Are hub's expensive? I have 2 studs in one of my back tires that have sheered off. I'm thinking that hub needs replacing.

check the hose(s)(theres 2) on the top of the center of the intake.

my inner was cracked 2" and didnt even know. didnt make a diff though once i replaced it.

I know which your talking about because I've seen pictures but I can't find those hoses on my car. I've looked all over the top of the intake and I'm either blind or their not there.

you got gen 1 2? not sure if there diff....

Go to rock auto for the hub and yes it does need to be pressed in.
As for sea foam I use one in the gas tank and one for the motor I have never used it for oil. I have used tranny fluid to clean the oil areas out.
I have also used carb cleaner to find leaks I have never hurt anything

I am not sure what you mean by the rear end locks up at 38 the car came with and open diff from the factory

I think the rear dif. sincs at 38mph. Before this happens I get a whirring noise from the backend and after it goes away.

Do I need to buy a "lincoln" 97 mark hub from rockauto or can I use the cheaper thunderbird part?

edit: oreilly carries the same as rockauto for 1$ cheaper.

To clarify. Oreilly says that the rear's are only bearings. The front's they have the complete hub. If I get the hubs for the front it is simply a swap and no pressing needs to be done. I'm figuring on the rear's there is no 'hub' and is only a bearing you would need to have them pressed in but that brings up the question. Pressed into what?

Put the car in the air and run it to find were the noise is cumming from and get the good bearing timken are great they press into the spindle
