Quick question....Can't remember.

I'm workin on the mark right now as I type lol. BUTTT I remember reading on here somewhere (couldn't find it) that the Drivers side mirror on the Mark Viii's have two pieces of glass. The front one we look into, the Gooey auto dim and another piece of glass? My glass seems to be shifted or something and I can see double of everything behind me in that mirror. I'm not really worried about the auto dim and was wondering could I take the first piece of glass out clean all the auto dim goo and have it as a regular mirror? If so would I have to take the whole assembly off or just the glass off?

Just go pop a new lense off a JY car. Pops right off, then slide off the two wire terminals and your golden.

Alright, will have to go take a look tomorrow at the JY. Everything is fine wit the auto dim and what not, it just looks like something is shifted inside. I don't wanna take the whole thing apart for something I don't need to. The glass just pops right off?

I believe it's in a plastic holder, that's the part that actually pops off.
Be sure to get one off a car with self-dimming mirrors, as I believe that was an option and not standard equipment.

I'm very OCD with this thing to....Can't stand it being like this. So yeah I'm definetly gonna take a ride down there and see what I can find there is another 96 so they should be similar. Just gotta take my time to not break anything :O
