first, how much "power" can a LS take? i just got my subs installed and when i juice up the amp the trunk rattles very bad.. ill post a vid up later on when im not in school. id also like to know how everyone's experience with subs in their has been and whether or not things came apart and/or broke.

second i have a hifonics brutus amp and a remote came with it to adjust the DB level. anyone know what kind of wire it will use? i tried a phone line to see if it will fit and it does, but it dont work.
 
One guy shattered his sunroof... but he was running an excessive amount of power. If you're running that much power for it to be a concern, your alternator and extra battery (or more) would be the first step. Also, you should dynamat/fatmat the entire trunk.
 
only running 750/1200 watt subs and a 1000 watt hifonics brutus amp... has some crazy kick to it though, and was worried because trunk literally looked like it wanted to jump off..

anyone know of any good/cheap capacitors? preferebly ebay.. ?
 
you need the specific wire for the bass knob or it will not work, not even a different wire for a similar hifonics amp will not work. do you have a silver one or black? i have a knob somewhere in my house
 
i heard that they have to be charged for them to work properly.. true? and thanks for the help guys!
 
There's a simple process you need to go through before using the cap by placing a resistor across the + and - terminals to charge it.
