I have a friend who has 4 Nitto tires forsale, but I need to know if they will look too small on my LS.

Size: 225/30/ZR20

Any thoughts?? Also, I have stock suspension....

Dont do it, I have 245/35/20's if you look on the last page of the picture thread you can see them kinda to get an idea, 225 is way to small IMO

225 fits a 8.5 wide wheel.

Here is a picture I found of a Maxima with the same tire on a 20x8.5

Like I said, I personally prefer more sidewall but a 225 fits. Its not to small!

Really its only a option when attempting to make something work. Notice how it looks like there is no tire.

I would be more worried about the super low pro sidewall and no cushion what so ever than the 225 width.

I would just get a set of tires with more sidewall.

I like the look of the "almost no rubber", but I hope it will look good without the car getting lowered.

Thanks for the advice.

I have decided against the 225/30's. Does anyone have a reccomendation for what make/model/size tires are the best for a 20"x8.5" rim?

Probably. The diameter of a 225/30 on a 20" wheel is going to be 25.31 inches. The stock diameter with a 235/50 on a 17" wheel is 26.25 inches. Your total diameter is almost a full inch less than stock. The wheel'tire combo will look really small, and the clearance between your wheel/wheel well will be greater.

a narrower tire like the 225 would be BETTER for a poor offset, but depending on the offset you have, most likely won't cure it.

I think my offset is 20mm, the shop I bought'm from put somekind of spacers in my shocks to prevent rubbing. I'm guessing the guy knew the rims where'nt a good fit for the car. My fault for not doing any research. I'm trying to get rid of some of the space between the tire and fender. I figured a smaller tire would allow me to take those spacers out and have a decent look without any rubbing.(unable to afford new tire/rim package right now)

My new wheels showed up today, and a local tire place will throw them on for me (probably on Saturday/Sunday). If anyone, knows where I can find Lincoln "center caps" PM me..... the Jag caps ain't cutting it :D

esalomander, those wheels are the secks! Hopefully you got 4 fronts, and not the staggered set. I don't think the rears will fit if you did.

Yeah I am assuming they are 4 fronts because they are all 20x8.5! The rears on the staggered set are a 20x 9.5.... at least that was the only difference I could tell.

Yep, you are correct. AWESOME. Can't wait to see them on the car.

The shop that is installing these wheels for me just offered me 2 different sets of tires for the same cost.

Which one is better?

Option 1: Nexen N3000
Option 2: Falkon FK-452

Both options were installed & out the door @ $552.80

I have 225's and I don't think they look too small. I didn't want to have to worry about any rubbing so I went with that size.
Just my opinion....

I got the nexens with my package.

Not a bad tire for the price, just not my preference. They feel great so far but I cant comment on wear yet.

Well, remember that the 225 is only part of the equation. what is the second number in your tire size?
