Well, remember that the 225 is only part of the equation. what is the second number in your tire size?
True....and I just noticed he was talking about 225 30's.
I have 225 35's.

See, your diameter is a lot closer to stock, at 26.2 inches. In fact, damn near the same as stock.
The shop that is installing these wheels for me just offered me 2 different sets of tires for the same cost.
Which one is better?
Option 1: Nexen N3000
Option 2: Falkon FK-452
Both options were installed & out the door @ $552.80
Nexen tires are garbage. I had them on my 18s and almost spun the car doing a measily 20mph in the rain on 7 coils. I was headed to the dealer for the coil/valve cover gasket fix.
Falkens all the way.

nightriddah, what's your offset? Not thatI can give you a for sure answer, but someone else should be able to tell you if you post that information up.
I don't see why that would be a big problem on 225's. I have a 42 offset on my 19's, with 245/40's. I'm dropping about 1.6+ inches here pretty soon. I don't anticipate any problems.
My feelings are Hurt, I have Nexen's on my rear, and nitto's on the front, I couldnt afford anything else.
Here is a pic of my old 02 camry with nitto 225/35/20 tires on 8.5 width wheel. The car was lowered 2 inches too. Let me say I could not have anyone ride in the rear... pointless and useless. But anyway gives you a idea of tire.

And heres a close up pic of the front tire, little more room to spare up there.
