first off wats up and thanks to anyone with info to help me out went to dealer 2day because car seem like it was losing power checked codes said it was a misfire code i believe he sadi 1 and 3 not sure but any way said he would replace spark plugs, replace fuel filter, air filter and all engine coils just tryin to find out and estimate on this he gave me his price i wanna kno if im gettin ripped off thanks again for help

being and idiot would be coming down to your level thanks for your advice I will take it into consideration for future typing

year and engine too...03's and up have 100,000 mile warenties on the coils.

If you have tools give it a shot yourself! :]

All those things can be DIY. Even the fuel filter

From the dealer that seems reasonable. All 8 coils and plugs alone from the dealer is like $500... Personally I think you got a good price.

It's not a bad price, considering the source . . . but every time I read about things like this I become more and more thankful for my friend that works at a VW dealership. Yeah, I gotta drive 90 minutes to see him, but considering I changed coils and gaskets for about $325 including his labor cost and I get to hang out with a friend, I can deal with it.

Yeah I ended up paying $140 for coils, $82 for plugs, and $50 labor so $272 = awesome.

If you think you can do it yourself I would suggest ordering coils from ebay and get new plugs andn filter and do it. 900+ you could spend 300 if that on parts but then again if you can't do it yourself thats about right for a dealer price..

do it yourself. its so easy and i dont really think you could screw it up. get the parts then pop your hood and look for them. youll totally figure it out once you see it all and youll feel better about it when your done. you cant trust other people to work on your car anyways. im sure you probably know someone who could give ya a hand for some beer or just to help
$900 is freaking insane. i can buy a whole motor for my 2000ls for less than that and take 5hours out of my day to install it.
you need 2 coils. $120, fuel filter is what $10. plugs, just use motorcrafts dont get the super extra double platinum crazy plugs. and an air filter.
ive got stuff from here, not sure if its cheaper than ebay

or for used stuff, ive got parts for all different cars from there, body and mechanical

lol frogman your very funny but he mentioned that to replace coils I would have to remove engine to get to it idk he made it seem like alot of work I'm not that great with cars but i'll shop around for a better price thanks agian for all the help

I agree, do them yourself. Make sure the car's running when you take the coils out. Make they'll jump start the part of your brain that seems to be dead.

I think he meant Maybe instead of Make
