Im first making 100% sure this will work.... a center section from a 98 into my 93... wasnt sure if there was any extra electronics or abs junk in the 98. and reason im gonn pick it up is because ive got a slammin deal on a center section with 4.10s and trac-lok.

I would almost be 99% positive that it would work just fine. What's the loss if it doesn't? Have the gears put in yours? You could always sell it. I'm sure someone would be all over it.

and im gettin the 3.5 inch dynotech driveshaft too... i thought i read somewhere to not use the 3.5 with 4.10's only the 4 inch... dont make sense but'll ask anyway

hrmm... i kno its well sought after but would it be better or equal to the dynotech? As far as balancing and strength. Its gonna get some abuse (street/strip) either way i go, but just want to make sure ill be setup with the correct.... setup

I think the 93 shaft is what you want but I watched my dad cut one in half just to get it off, stupid, I know but it was his, not mine. As long as yours is balanced and not vibrating, it should be the perfect setup for the gears. I always thought the drive shaft was thicker than what it is until I seen the 93 cut in half. It's still out in the back yard. I'll get a pic of it tomorrow. It had cardboard on the inside like a roll of wrapping paper would come on.

4.10s might be to much for the stock '93 drive shaft. I would do it and see before dropping money on the dynotech. I have read the dynotech 3.5 is not recommended for anything over 3.73s, I went with the 4" so I couldn't say if you would have any issues. If your going to spend them money pony up the little more the 4" is and be done with it.

Im getting an unmentionable deal on both of them so the moneys not really the issue.... but i do suppose i could sell the 3.5 to aquire some money toward the 4 incher
