Pulling motor and trans

I'm parting out a 96 Mark and need to find out what is the best way to pull motor and trans. Pull it out the top or drop out under neath. Thanks for all help.

out the bottom if you have the means to get the body that high

drop it out the bottom. or, since you are parting it out, cut off the radiator core support and pull it straight out the front.

i would pull it from the top/ if you drop it and want too move the car you can't/ if u pull it you can still push it

I dropped mine out of the bottom... then used a skid steer to lift the body off..

with the motor out you can almost lift the front of the car by hand! you can still move it with the k member off, use your engine hoist.

I've always had a bobcat around to lift the car up... but a cherry picker or tree branch with a chain hoist could do the job!
