Problem with coils order

Hi,

I ordered by mistake 8 V6 Motocraft coils(i need V8).
Is the only difference between V6 and V8 coils is coil boot? So i can change just coil boot?

Also what is part number for gasket what need to be changed with coils for V8?

Banquier there is no gasket for the coils. When you change the coils, you should also change the spark plugs. But as pure said, you have the wrong coils entirely at this point.

If you had ordered from someplace with any decency they would have seen the order for 8 V6 coils and contacted you to confirm the order.

I suspect he's talking about the valve cover gaskets.
If he has oil in any of the plug wells, then he needs to change those.
