premium or regular gas?

The only real issue is in using dino oil, then switching to synthetic after 100K miles. After 100K miles in dino oil, there could be varnish buildup that is plugging seal leaks that developed over time. Synth is more slippery than regular oil, and will clean the varnish out of the engine meaning that a 100K+ engine MAY develop oil leaks shortly after you start using it. This will, of course, depend on how often the dino was changed, how the engine was used, whether it was kept clean on a regular basis, seal composition, ect. Going synth to dino, no problem.

04 lincoln ls V6 VS 04 bmw 645 V8

Lincoln FUEL ECONOMY (CTY/HWY) 17/24 mpg

BMW FUEL ECONOMY (CTY/HWY) 15/23 mpg

almost the same...but the bmw is a V8 and i'm sure weighs a lot more

Where'd you get those numbers. It is my understanding that the 04 v6's ratings are 20city/ 26hwy.

The numbers you had looks more like the LS V8 numbers

why are you selling your car what are you gonna get next if you do sell it?

Your site said "est" as if that's there estimate but not the EPA rated numbers. Here's 2 other sites that say 20/26..

Also the site you posted says 15/23 for the v8 and that is also lower than it should be.

And my car is only for sale if someone's willing to dish out some serious cash for it. And my replacement car you ask?? Another LS! Haha. But I'd also go for an XF. STR. And aviator. But I'd always like an LS as one of my cars

Castrol GTX 5W30 ?

I prefer Quaker state synthetic HP

OR

Mobil 1 synthetic.

When I use Castrol Edge synthetic, my RPM idles a bit higher o_O
I only buy it when Canadian tire does these huge sales on a random brand (like half off the 5 litre jug) and it happens to be Castrols turn.
